2010

•During a trip to the zoo, a cheetah and a lion plush are bought from the gift shop. These two plushies become Cookie and Buttercup!

•On Easter that same year, a Duck and Lamb plush are given as gifts. These become Peter and Lamb!

•Finally, at an ocean themed amusement park, an orca stuffed animal is brought home. This plush becomes, Danny. The original Treatlanders are assembled!

2011-2012

•A larger lion stuffed animal is brought home, this lion becomes Buttercup, and the smaller lion retroactively becomes Buttercup JR!

•Sugar is bought at a Dollar Variety Store!

•Rocky and Doggy are introduced during the summer of 2011!

•Iro is introduced sometime during the summer of 2012, the last of the 2nd generation of Treatlanders!

•The Cookie Takeshi comics begin in earnest, with this iteration going until 2013.

2014

•”Cookie Takeshi: Cookie’s Route” is released! One day, on the magical Star Island, two brothers by the name of Peter & Cookie Takeshi, are given a challenge by the king of Treat-land. The two of them, mostly Cookie (or Peter, depending on which route you choose), must traverse up the countryside and defeat the king! 

•The Cookie Takeshi comics are cancelled and rebooted into the 2014 iteration. The 2014 series ends up going until 2020!

2015

•The Cookie Takeshi series celebrates its 5th anniversary

•The very first Cookie Takeshi Long Story “To the Demon World” is completed! Taking a departure from the usual routine of the main series, the Long Story series features the Treatlanders going on one continuous adventure!

2016

•Cookie Takeshi Long Story “The Heart of Nature” is completed! While hiking in the woods one day, Cookie, Peter, Sugar, and King Buttercup come across as forest princess named, Natura, and have to help her protect her kingdom from an unnatural forest fire

•”Cookie’s Adventure” is released! One night, King Buttercup lets out a loud roar that scares all the stars out of the sky, causing them to fall all over Star Island. Seeing this from his bedroom, Cookie sets out to find all the stars, and get them back in the night sky!

2018

•The series undergoes its first major design change as the characters and setting are altered to fit a new direction

•The 2014 comics reach their 47th volume

•”Cookie Takeshi 2” is released! A new lab gets created near Buttercup castle, and everyone is excited to see who runs it and the kind of stuff they’ll be making! However, soon it’s revealed that the person in charge is someone known as “Dr.Kragan,” an evil dragon scientist who wants to take all of Star Island’s resources to make his inventions. Cookie, Doggy, Iro, and Danny go to stop him.

•“Cookie Takeshi Remake” is released, a remake of the original “Cookie’s Route” level

•Cookie Takeshi Long Story “Magical Galaxy Train” is completed! The Treatlanders catch a ride on a train that travels throughout the galaxy, but a mythical shapeshifting demon hijacks the train putting all its passengers in danger

•Cookie Takeshi Long Story “Grand Sea Kingdom Adventure” is completed! The Treatlanders take a cruise for their summer holiday vacation. During the voyage however, the ship is attacked by a band of pirates who want revenge over one of the ship’s previous voyages heavily affecting their captain

•”Legend of the Three Densetsus” a mini-series spin off starring Sugar, begins its run, updating in the form of a webcomic. The comic goes on until 2020!

•The “Cookie Takeshi Christmas Volume” (Volume 47) is completed at the end of the year!

2019

•The 2014 comics reach their 55th volume

•Cookie Takeshi Long Story “New! To the Demon World” is completed, a one-to-one remake of the original

•Cookie Takeshi Long Story “Prehistoric Dragon” is completed! A scientist makes a huge breakthrough, connecting the history of dinosaurs with that of dragons, and begins to try resurrecting the dragons via dinosaur dna

2020

•The Cookie Takeshi series celebrates its 10th anniversary

•”Some of the best of COOKIE TAKESHI (最高のクッキーさん)” is released, a compilation of 6 chapters from throughout the 2014 comics

•Cookie Takeshi Long Story “Heart Kingdom Correlation” is completed! The Buttercup family is invited to the Heart Kingdom so that King Buttercup and King Potsticker can touch base, with Cookie, Peter, Iro, Rocky, and Danny following behind to come visit them. But unbeknownst to King Potsticker, his royal adviser, Shen, and his own daughter, Princess Lotus, are planning to kill him and take his throne, with King Buttercup’s visit serving as the perfect opportunity to execute their plan. This is the final Long Story of the 2014 series

•The 2014 comics reach their 56th and final volume

•The “Peter Meets Cookie” Animation Pilot is released, a loose adaptation of “Memories”!

•”Dragoon Raider: Cookie Takeshi 3” is released! One day, a bunch of giant lizard chefs who call themselves “The Dragoons” raid Treat-Land and start eating all of the crops. Cookie & Peter set out to stop them and save the rest of their friends from all the commotion.

2021

•The short “A Reel Fishy Story” is released, serving as the first official Cookie Takeshi animation!

•Cookie Takeshi Volume 1 is released on September 12, 2021, the first volume in the 2021 series! The volume includes the chapters “Into the Storm”, “A Reel Fishy Story”, and “The Last Dragon”

•The short “Dragons Christmas” is released

2023

•Cookie Takeshi Volume 2 is released on June 15, 2023! The included chapters are “Race to Win”, “The Son of King Buttercup”, “Dustsweep-keeps”, and “Memories”

•The short “Legend of the Floating Restaurant” is released and featured as an official selection in the Sweaty Eyeballs 2023 Animation Festival!

2024

•Cookie Takeshi Volume 3 is released on March 4, 2024! The included chapters are “The Sealiest Thing Ever”, “Clothing, the Latest Craze”, “Treat-Land Mail Delivery Service”, “Iro’s Tamago Run”, “Fishing in the Sky”, and “Mushroom Hunting”

•The short “Iro’s Tamago Run” is released

•The series begins its 15th anniversary celebration

•Cookie Takeshi Volume 4 is released on November 30, 2024! The included chapters are “Dragons in Winter”, “Super Deluxe PETERS Cakey!”, “Before Mira Winter”, “Wishing Star!!”, “Cookie Saves Mira Winter?”, and “The Truth Behind the Winter Miracle”

•”[MOTION OF THE OCEAN] The Sounds of Star Island” is released!

2025

•The Cookie Takeshi Series celebrates its 15th anniversary

•”【Cookie Takeshi Fairytale Series Anime/クッキーさん おとぎ話シリーズアニメ】” is released

•Cookie Takeshi Long Story “To the Demon World” is released on November 12, 2025, a complete reimagining of the original story, being the longest Long Story and Cookie Takeshi book at 532 pages! The Demon Lord, Scar, enacts his 800 year awaited vengeance plan to rebuild his army by taking over the body of who he believes to be “the Golden Warrior”, King Buttercup. Soon the entirety of Star Island is thrown into chaos, and the Treatlanders are cast down into the Demon World where they must find a way back home and save King Buttercup

•The special chapter “Dungeons, Swords, Sorcery, and Magic” is released on December 4, 2025 to celebrate National Cookie Day
